Digital Campus

The On-going Journey.

Fall 2018, University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) defined a Digital Campus as “a campus that fully leverages the benefits of technology to maximize the ability of faculty, students, and staff to fully and effectively meet the missions of UNMC.”

There are numerous activities ongoing on the UNMC campus that relate to making UNMC a “Digital Campus”.  Some of these activities include the E-Learning program, ensuring reliable and stable Wi-Fi access within buildings, the use of iPADs to reduce paper use and enhance learning, leveraging web conferencing and video creation tools, and of course, the developing iEXCEL program among others.

Four workgroups were established to determine areas of strength, current development, gap areas, and provide recommendations to enhance our digital campus.

Through 2022 and beyond, the UNMC campus has been diligently focusing on the goal of fully leveraging the benefits of technology to maximize the ability of faculty, staff, and students and effectively meet the missions of UNMC.

A team comprised of Dr. Davies, Dr. Schmid, Melissa Diers, and Michael Kozak have complied information to represent over one and half years of effort into the Digital Enablement 2022 Report.
